Student Organizations

Student organizations allow students the opportunity to explore possible career paths while networking with peers and industry professionals. Within the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources there are more than 30 student organizations, and we are pround to say that five are directly connected to our department. Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Collegiate FFA, Collegiate 4-H, Graduate Student Association and Leadership League provide students with leadership opportunities, as well as avenues for personal, professional and academic growth.

Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow

Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow The OSU chapter of ACT is a member of the National ACT Organization. Membership is not limited to majors in agricultural communications; anyone interested in the field of agricultural communications may join.

Collegiate FFA/ Alpha Tau Alpha Agricultural Education Association

Collegiate FFA The Mission of the OSU Collegiate FFA/ ATA Agricultural Education Assoctation is to provide leadership training, social interation and professional development of students interested in agricultural educaiton or an agriculturally related field.

Collegiate 4-H

OSU Collegiate 4-H is a student organization involved in community service, encouraging citizenship and leadership and promoting and assisting 4-H around the state.

Graduate Student Association

The mission of the OSU GSA for students in Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership (AgECL GSA) is to provide leadership, social interaction and professional development for students enrolled in agricultural education, communications and leadership graduate programs.

Leadership League

Leadership League was founded during the 2004-05 academic year to support a community of students interested in leadership education. The group's membership is composed of students interested in the study of leadership, leadership education, and leadership within an agricultural context. The organization specifically seeks to support students majoring in Agricultural Leadership and/or pursing a minor in Leadership Education as well as students aspiring to careers as leadership educators.
